The Aviation Sales Manager – Asia Pacific will work directly with the Global Sales Director and be responsible for developing and growing WSI’s Aviation & Government Solutions business across the APAC region (excluding China). The ASM’s primary objectives will include: (a) successfully identifying and wining new sales opportunities, (b) effectively promoting the WSI value proposition to key airlines, airports, government and other aviation authorities, and (c) relentlessly pursuing new avenues for market penetration and business expansion. The ASM is a seasoned sales & business development manager, strong communicator, results-oriented and self-driven professional with a proven track record of selling technical solutions and structuring and closing complex business deals.

Become an important member of the WSI Aviation Forecasting team in a role as a dedicated meteorologist in support of a U.S. airline. Extensive Aviation forecasting experience and a Meteorology or Atmospheric Science degree is required. Experience as a meteorologist in a dedicated or in direct support of airline (Part 121/135 carriers) operations is seen as a major advantage over other candidates. An acceptable alternative to direct airline experience would be experience in support of Air Traffic Control or as an airline Flight Dispatcher. The job may require some rotating shifts plus some weekend and holiday shift coverage.

An internship within WSI’s Meteorological Services affords qualified candidates the opportunity to acquire valuable, hands-on forecast and operational experience, through assisting aviation and energy forecasters with real-time forecast operations, and meteorologists managing various technical aspects of the Operations Center. Interns will be responsible for providing decision support products and services to the nation’s leading airlines, energy, and transportation management services. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on operational experience and learn how weather data is used for aviation, energy, and media customers.

This role will be part of the IT support group. The candidate will work with the IT team to support operational systems, install software, troubleshoot computer and application issues and work with end users to resolve problems. An example of project involvement is working with our asset management (CMDB) system to automatically collect as much information as possible from our internal installed base of operational and development servers (both Linux and Windows

The Software Engineer will develop cross-platform (web, mobile, tablet) Aviation products for WSI customers. You will work side by side with the product owner, product design, and customers to understand requirements and build great solutions. You will have an instinctive feel for design and take tremendous pride in the products the team produces. You will understand object-oriented design and leverage design patterns to expedite time to market. You will be part of a fun, fast-paced and highly collaborative product development team leveraging Agile methodologies to deliver new functionality in incremental iterations.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to meet or exceed the established sales support objectives. The Sales Support Intern will interact with WSI’s General/Business Aviation customers, as well as support the sales & customer service efforts of the entire Business Aviation team.
